Currently one of our top selling plates for roller derby, the Powerdyne Reactor plate is CNC machined from lightweight extruded aircraft aluminum and features easy action adjustment, metal ball pivot, high rebound urethane cushions and
oval shaped mounting holes to get favorable placement on the boot. The
ball pivot works like a ball and socket joint; the cup provides a direct
point of contact from the ball to the pivot cup center and enables it to
move with precision in as full a range of motion as the 10 degree king pin angle
allows. This means more controlled movements that come with ease at
the slightest shift of your body weight with no hesitation.
An adjustable toe stop is held in place by an
alan head bolt (rather than nut and washer), ensuring the threads lock into the plate to keep it from
shifting or turning. Pivot cups are made of Delrin; a durable and thick plastic material that stands up much better than rubber material ones and requires replacement less often. Features aluminum trucks with 8mm chromoly steel axles.
If you are seeking a highly responsive and lightweight plate to increase easy maneuvering, acceleration and agility, look no further.
The Powerdyne Reactor has the same plate hole pattern as the Powerdyne Rival so it's an easy at home upgrade, just order the same size.
Sizing for the Reactor runs the same as your Riedell boot size. If you have a half size larger, choose the next size down ie; boot size 7 1/2, choose a size 7 plate. Refer to the Reactor plate sizing chart for specifics if choosing a size for a boot other than one made by Riedell.
Available in sizes 2-12.
Includes allen wrench to adjust toe stops and 2 sets of bushings; one hard and one medium. For specific hardness requests, please email orders@cruzskateshop.com with order number and instructions or leave a note in the comments section at checkout.
*Tip* When replacing cushions, the top ones can be a real bugger to remove and install. Use a dab of dish soap on the king pin to help things move more smoothly.
