Description:

The 965 from Riedell features all leather uppers with soft suede-like inner lining. Less like a traditional speed skate boot and influenced by one for hockey, it has a low, foam padded achilles to cup the heel and offer less irritation and blistering. The raised toe box gives a more roomy feel and the second set of lace grommets at the ankle provide a more snug fit and help keep the heel seated in place. It's made on a combination boot last in two options; D/B for a medium to wider foot and B/AA for a more narrow one. The combo last means the ball is wider and the heel remains more slim to keep your heel properly seated. Like most padded boots, with time the padding inside compresses leaving more space and a less accurate fit. We recommend getting a very snug fitting boot from the start; we've found you can safely go down at least a half size from what the sizing chart puts you at.
