The Sac City Rollers are generously hosting the seventh annual Red Red Holiday and our own now infamous TEAM CRUZ will be taking on fellow CA pick-up team SR-99 on Sunday Dec 9 at 10 am. Lay down your remotes and come join us in the raising of varied implements of destruction in honor of the fearsome ladies putting it all on the line for nothing more than the thrill of kill.
The tournament will be held once again at the NorCal Indoor Sports Center located at 1460 Tanforan Avenue in Woodland, Ca.
Price for skaters at registration day of event will be $35.00. Spectator pass prices have not been announced yet.

Its the end of the season; now what? Those tired feet need a rest. Time to put 'em up and get your holiday season kicked off properly…by fantasizing about the skates of your dreams! Maybe with a hot toddy in hand and a yule log burning on the TV…..
Creating your dream boots doesn't simply mean expressing your inner gear head or skate architect with style; they can provide a more precise fit, which will improve your skating experience and overall foot health. From choosing unique colors and hand cut designs to adorn them with, to having two different sizes or widths for your special-needs feet--custom and special make up boots can be just about anything your 'lil tootsies desire.

Dudes! It's that time of year again. That time when there's never enough minutes and you're so behind you wish you could just borrow an extra day to get ahead of it.
So that's what we're doing.
For the rest of the year, the brick and mordor (sicK!) will be closed on Mondays.
We will be open:
Tues-Sat 12:00 - 7:00 pm
Sun 12:00 - 4:00 pm
We apologize in advance to those of you who will not receive this message and/or will forget about it and will come to our shop on Mondays and loudly curse our locked door and our laziness. In all likelihood, we will be in the shop hiding behind the curtain and, if it's good enough, recording you with our cameraphones to post on our forthcoming YouTube phenomenon: People Who Yell at Doors.
Please be assured it's not because we don't love you. Just come see us on Tuesday-Sun.

And there have been several articles written in the past year that extoll the virtues of one kind of helmet over another.
Perhaps as a result of some of these articles, the use of hockey helmets instead of skate helmets has been a growing trend in the sport. At Cruz, we're still considering whether or not we want to offer them in our shop, and we have two primary concerns:Full Story
Triton Plates come standard on a few of the intermediate-level complete skate packages like the She-Devil and Minx, for instance.
